Doireann Glackin hails from the north-side of Dublin, and is steeped in the rich musical tradition of the area. From her paternal family, The Glackin’s, she learnt the fiddle under the tutelage of her father, Kevin Glackin. Now, one of traditional music’s emerging young artists, she has travelled the world with her fiddle.
After many acclaimed performances on national broadcast stations Glackin was appointed presenter of Fleadhtv 2018 and Tradfest TG4, making her a leading broadcaster in traditional music.
