This tune got its name after an owl flew across our path as a gang of us walked back to our holiday home one night in Spanish Point, during the Willie Clancy Festival in 2005.

About Anna Friel

Anna Friel is a highly accomplished flute player and plays as a part of award-winning, The Friel Sisters. was born and brought up in Glasgow, Scotland, with very close family ties to Donegal. Since the launch of their debut album, they have performed in various venues and festivals across Europe, America and Asia and have appeared as guests on stage or toured with acts such as Altan, The Chieftains, Lúnasa, Sharon Shannon, The Máirtín O’Connor Trio, Cherish the Ladies, Solas and Fidil.
